Iranian Forces State Strike on US Base in Bahrain, Amid Widespread Counterattacks.
Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed missile attacks throughout the Middle East in response for a large-scale and ongoing attack targeting the nation by the US and Israel.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an zone close to the main base of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The full scale of any impact is uncertain and the United States has not commented.
Airspace Engagements
In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - which all house US military bases - stated they have intercepted missiles in their territorial skies.
In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry said it had intercepted several missiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the region.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the offensive on the Islamic Republic launched by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.
That initial attack - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far focused on sites linked to the Tehran's leadership, with US President Donald Trump calling on the people of Iran to revolt against the government.

In the State of Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The defence ministry of the UAE said in a statement that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems dealt with the projectiles with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a number of missiles," the statement continued.
It said missile fragments landed in a neighborhood in the capital, resulting in some material damage and fatalities.
The United States Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
