Los Blancos' Alexander-Arnold May Return to Face Liverpool in Upcoming European Clash

The English defender during a match

The Spanish giants signed Trent Alexander-Arnold on a long-term deal

Trent Alexander-Arnold's recovery is progressing according to plan, giving hope that the Madrid defender might be fit soon enough to play against his previous team Liverpool in November's Champions League match.

The 27-year-old international experienced a hamstring injury while playing against French club Marseille in the initial phase of the competition on September 16.

Alexander-Arnold exited the pitch in the fifth minute, with initial indications indicating a possible absence of as long as six weeks.

Real Madrid are scheduled to play at Liverpool on 4 November for the European fixture—precisely seven weeks after the injury occurred.

Insiders close to the player's condition indicate that the player's recovery is moving along favorably, and there is optimism that Alexander-Arnold may make his first return to Anfield since signing for Los Blancos in the summer.

A lifelong Liverpool fan, Alexander-Arnold previously remarked that leaving the team he entered as a six-year-old youth talent was the "hardest choice he has ever taken."

During his spell with the Reds, Alexander-Arnold accumulated 354 appearances, contributing to secure two English top-flight titles, a European Cup, and the domestic cup.

Since joining to Madrid, Alexander-Arnold has featured on five occasions across all competitions, logging over two and a half hours of playing time.
